Winston Salem State University is the fastest growing school in the UNC system. Starting in the fall of '06, we will embark on new territory by our enrollment jumping from 5500 students to approximately 6400 students. The growth of the university has been very positive as we transition from not only Division II to Division I, but Master's I as an academic institution. With growth, comes new construction and change to accommodate our students. Also there will be upgrades to our existing facilities to match this unprecedented growth. If you drive on our campus, you can spot the new growth with the addition of two residence halls-Rams Commons and Gleason-Hairston.

Winston Salem State University offers 42 degrees, of which 7 are graduate degrees in the College if Arts and Sciences, the School of Business and Economics, the School of Education and Human Performance, and the School of Health Sciences. Our student to faculty ratio is 18:1.
